Systems 86 - released May.1969
- The first 32 bit Real Time minicomputer system using integrated circuits.
- This machine was designed using SUHL logic.
- Floating Point was available as an
option
- The Bus cycle time was 600 ns
- There
were 3 phases of the 86 machine. phase 0 had very large memory modules.
Phase 1 and 2 had 8" x 10" memory modules mounted in adapters to hang
in the original swing plane.
- The I/O was 20 mhz serial pipes on
some channels, 32 bit parallel on other channels,
- The teletype,
card reader, and paper tape reader had their own dedicated I/O channel.
